LiveScope 2 compatible units: every Garmin display, and what it drops

Which units run LiveScope 2

LiveScope 2 and LiveScope 2 HD share one compatibility list. These are the families on it, with how many of each family’s models Garmin names:

FamilyModels that workWhat it needs
Garmin ECHOMAP UHD2 3 of 5 Nothing extra
Garmin ECHOMAP Ultra legacy All 4 Nothing extra
Garmin ECHOMAP Ultra 2 All 3 Nothing extra
Garmin GPSMAP x3 All 18 Nothing extra
Garmin GPSMAP 8400/8600 legacy 12 of 19 Nothing extra
Garmin GPSMAP 9000 All 20 Nothing extra

LiveScope 2 currently sells for $1,999.99 at Garmin (checked Nov 1, 2026); LiveScope 2 HD for $2,199.99 at Garmin (checked Nov 1, 2026).

What LiveScope 2 drops

These units are on Garmin’s list for LiveScope Plus but not for LiveScope 2. If you own one, LiveScope Plus or XR is the live sonar that works with it:

Why the cheaper units are left out

LiveScope plugs into the Garmin Marine Network, not the transducer port. Units without a network port, such as the STRIKER Vivid range and the ECHOMAP UHD2 cv models, cannot run any LiveScope. The filter for units with a network port lists every unit that can.

Other brands

No Garmin list names a Humminbird, Minn Kota or Lowrance display, so LiveScope ties you to Garmin units. The other brands’ live sonar does the same: see ActiveTarget 2 and MEGA Live 2, or the cross-brand answer.

Questions

Does LiveScope 2 work with my ECHOMAP UHD?

No. Garmin's compatible-devices list for LiveScope 2 names no first-generation ECHOMAP UHD unit; LiveScope Plus and XR do list them.

Does LiveScope 2 work with Humminbird, Minn Kota or Lowrance fish finders?

No. Garmin lists only its own displays for LiveScope, and it connects over Garmin's own marine network.

Do I need a network port?

Yes. LiveScope connects over the Garmin Marine Network, so a unit with no network port (STRIKER Vivid, ECHOMAP UHD2 cv models) cannot run it.
